Dr. Nancy McClain's love for veterinary medicine began in grade school when she adopted a kitten the family named Tequila. They named the kitten due to the way she walked and was called Tiki most of the time! Unfortunately, she had a severe neurologic disease that required extra care at home. Though Tiki only lived three years, her short life significantly impacted Dr. McClain's and how she practices today.
Nancy grew up in St. Louis as the youngest of three girls. She attended St. Joseph's Academy and later went to MU to pursue a degree in biology. She graduated from MU with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2015.
Nancy lives in Brookside with her husband, Patrick, and their two children, Henry and Nellie, and Stella, the goofy Boxer mix. Nancy enjoys spending time with friends and family, working on her home, playing tennis, and jogging with Stella when not at work. Her particular areas of interest include preventative medicine behavior and client education.
